Two weeks of no KDrama! Kim Hyun Joong is definitely shocked.

Almost except for one or two eps of Protect the Boss which I am also getting tired but just watching just for the sake of watching something. Not much activity for September.

I am deciding on old KDrama favorites instead, which should I watch?

Kim Sam Soon

Princess Hours

Coffee Prince

Dream High

You're Beautiful

BTW, any new KDrama project for Kim Hyun Joong?

Drama Queen needs to sleep too

I’m having some time off with my KDrama marathon, been busy with my other blogs. I am still watching Protect the Boss but haven’t started anything yet. I just finished with Scent of a Woman, City Hall and Myung Wol the Spy.

I don’t see anything interesting so far, will just lurk on some sites to check any.

I'll use this time to catch up with some sleep. Yawn!

SOAW ending

I was afraid to watch the last eps of Kdrama Scent of a Woman, was afraid my eyes would be swollen from crying.

And I did cry a lot, on ep 14 when Heon Jae told her mom her condition, it was the saddest part for me (coz I can relate!).

But surprisingly after that scene there was no major crying. More of acceptance, understanding and lots of love.

I thought Heon Jae will die on the end, though it is still implied that she would, the story shows her living each day without regret. She was asked by Ji Wook if she would rather not be sick, she said if she isn't she wouldn't have the courage to change herself, to speak up, meet him and let her mom remarry, etc.

The moral of the story is to live without regrets.

Inspired by Heon Jae's bucket list, I am working on one too, not because I am sick but because I don't want to have regrets and we never know what the future brings.

City Hall to Blue House

After so much angst City Hall ended with our beloved mayor Shin Mirae and Assemblyman Jo Gook together without the bitchy Go Hae and meddling BB. Affected much? Yeah. I was really down this last few days because of the eps 17, 18 and 19.

The ending was when Jo Gook proposed to Shin Mirae, with the implied marriage (mostly picture taking) and the campaign trail to Blue House. Blue House is Korean's White House (US) or Malacanang (Philippines).

Finally a happy ending. I can sleep soundly today.

I can't let this opp pass without mentioning Jo Gook's assistant, Ha Soo In or Lee Joon Hyuk in real life. He's the prosecutor in City Hunter (after 2 years). I like both his character in City Hall and City Hunter but of course he much cuter on the first KDrama.

Noriko Goes to Seoul

I was looking at the name and the face on the poster, I know I’ve watched him somewhere before. Hmmm. How can I forget Jeremy of YAB! Maybe because he is not blond or light colored here? Or maybe I am getting senile? Let’s just go on the first option please.

I want to watch this. The summary itself is heartwarming what more when Lee Hong Ki’s smile, sweet just sweet.

A special one-episode KDrama.

Dream High Rerun

I saw this Dream High animated poster, so cute!

I suddenly got the urge to watch (again for the nth time) my Sam Dong, Jin Gook, Hye Mi, the milky couple Jason and Pil Sook. I almost forgot Baek Hee because she was my least fave character among the group.

Emotions Overflow

That's the exact term I can describe ep 11 to 15 of City Hall.

I can't really describe my feelings right now so let me go through some pictures.

Funny & Cute

Love, why do you always have to be complicated?

Satisfied with Tracfone

This post brought to you by TracFone. All opinions are 100% mine.

Much as I love television dramas I hate real life dramas. I got into an argument over the cell phone and since I don't like to admit defeat the call lasted for hours. When the cell phone bill came, to my horror it was humongous! That's when I decided not to fight over the phone particularly over cell phones.

Good thing there is now the wireless service provider Tracfone, the cheapest way to use and own cell phones in America. Real TracFone customers can attest the authenticity of their plans. So many features are available and one can be sure to get what they really need.

If only I live in America, I could have chosen the annual plan with $119 only. But there are also the choice of a pre-paid plan or a monthly plan. It guarantees that there will be no surprise contracts, credit checks, activation or deactivation costs. The cell phone price starts from $10, only if you opt for a simple cell phone with basic features like call and text capabilities. This is advisable for parents to pick for their kids. If you like a smart phone it will cost you $29.99 with So many features like camera, web access, app capability and others.

No wonder many Real TracFone customers are very satisfied with their service.

KDrama: Birdie Buddy

Remember UEE in You're Beautiful?

That's exactly why I can't bring myself to watch Birdie Buddy because I can't forget her, her bitchiness in YAB.

She plays the female lead here, still not interested, sorry UEE fans.

This was supposedly to premiere November of 2010 but due to some problems with the network it was kept in limbo (together with Poseidon and The Musical) until tvN a cable channel picked it up.

I really hope it will do well in the ratings, but still not interested, sorry again UEE fans.

“Birdie Buddy” tells the story of former pro golfer John Lee and how he leads two women to become the next golf queens. John Lee became the first Korean to win a PGA title. Min Hae Ryung was raised to become an elite golf player and was always placed in the best environment to play golf. Her emotions have always been controlled and she has a deep wound inside of her. In contrast, Sung Mi Soo is a country girl from Kangwon Province. She comes from a poor background, but her mom worked as caddie. With her bright personality and determined efforts, she attempts to become an elite golf player.

TwDrama: In Time With You

One of my most liked Taiwanese Actress is Ariel Lin. I’ve seen her in Love Contract with Mike He, Tokyo Juliet with Wu Chun, It Started with a Kiss and They Kissed Again with Joe Cheng. She also had Love or Bread still with Joe Cheng but I didn’t watched it. She was out of the dramaland for a year or two due to her physical health. Her latest TwDrama: In Time With You, might also be her last. I will surely miss her if that would be the case.

Unable to accept that Li Da Ren is like a fine wine that will get better with age and she is like a grape that will dry into a raisin as years go by, she made a bet with Li to see who will get married first before they turn 35. As she looked around for a potential husband, she discovered that she was surrounded by unacceptable candidates, like gay assistant or cheating ex-boyfriend. The only man who could love her despite her ill temper and stubbornness is her best friend. The only problem was that they both swore that they were not or will ever be romantically attracted to each other.

Currently Watching: City Hall

I was getting bored waiting for new eps for KDramas Protect the Boss, Scent of a Woman and Myung Wol the Spy. We had 4 days Eid holiday so I finished everything up (meaning latest ones). I gave up on ep 2 of JDrama Ikemen Desu Ne, not because I didn’t like it but because it I can’t help but compare it to the original You’re Beautiful and kept on missing Jang Geun Seok. I told myself if this will be the case, might as well watch YAB again for the 3rd or 4th time.

And so I decided to watch the KDrama City Hall instead.

I am on the 10th episode already and I kept on hating Jo Gook (Cha Seung Won), he’s so mean to Shin Mi Rae (Kim Sun Ah).

Jo Gook, how can you be such a user? And Mi Rae, how can you be so stupid?

I must admit though that he looks yummier here than as Dokko Jin in Best Love (but I love his character there!)

KDrama: City Hall

Was late on this one, shown in Korea on April 2009.

Jo Gook is an exceedingly smart government official. He passed the Higher Civil Service quickly, and basically is the perfect guy. But being a deputy mayor is not enough for him. He lives with the dream of becoming South Korea’s President. He should have easily gone straight to the top, but due to an unexpected incident, he gets dispatched as a deputy mayor for a provincial small town, Inju City, where Shin Mi Rae was working. Shin Mi Rae is a low-ranking secretary in Inju, but she works her way up in becoming the youngest City Mayor. As their paths met, they have to deal with each other’s personal and social differences. Skip Beat Trailer

Most anticipated TwDrama by me - Taiwan's adaptation of my fave Skip Beat manga, Extravagant Challenge.

They already finished filming but the telecast is set early of next year, I hope it comes out sooner though. Since the 2 main male leads are Korean - Choi Si Won and Lee Dong Hae, I guess they the need to dub it first.

So here first are parts 1 and 2 of the trailer.

Crazy, isn't it? Well the manga is indeed crazy, and I think they did a pretty good job. I must agree that for manga adaptation, Japan and Taiwan are better (in terms of craziness, over the top antics) like Hana Kimi, Hayate the Combat Butler, etc.
