KDrama: Can't Lose

About bickering husband and wife in the midst of divorce procedings, did I forgot to mention both are successful lawyers?

The wife - Choi Ji Woo, last time I watch her was on the season KDrama Winter Sonata (which I honestly didn't watch till the end because I hate sad endings).

The husband - Yoon Sang Hyun of My Fair Lady and Secret Garden.

Ep 2 is already up with english sub but I guess I have to wait at least till ep 8 before starting to watch.

Title: 지고는 못살아 / Jigoneun Motsala

Drama Solved with Straight Talk

This post brought to you by Straight Talk. All opinions are 100% mine.

A common scenario among dramas whether it be Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese or other is the communication gap. One or both would assume things and create havoc to the relationship. But even in real life it happens. And it’s sad to realize the gap can easily be bridge by being honest and constant communication.

Speaking of communication, I found the Straight Talk plan with everything you need. Whether you call a friend or  family or even work related, you don't need to fret on the call charges. If you're like my mom who constantly worries about bills on this case telephone bills, this is the answer to your problems. So the saying mom knows best is really true. She can now cut her telephone bills in half with this Hook, line and sinker Straight Talk plan. And it guarantees that there will be no surprise contracts, bills and even no credit checks.

Another key thing to note is they offer various phone options like if you're tight on the budget, you could go for reconditioned phones as low as $10 with the basic call and text plus camera, mp3 player, mobile web access and blue tooth capability. Then if your on the higher end, you can choose smart phones or the touch screen ones. This everything you need Straight Talk plan even comes with unlimited monthly usage. Really worth your money.

Missing Jung Il Woo

I was browsing for the top written celebrity or drama on this blog, Drama Queen when I saw oppa Jung Il Woo’s name. After the successful 49 days, I haven’t heard anything about him.

Is he that busy?

He’s my second best-man slash boy-toy in Korea, that is next to Jang Geun Seok.

I couldn’t find any news of new KDrama or KMovie he’s working in. But I found these photos from
N.O.A. Entertainment, mind you it’s in Korean so I cannot understand anything.

I’ll be oogling with these pics and will keep me sane for a few more weeks.

Myung Wol the Spy: Lies and Betrayal

Oh My! I feel for you Eric, all the pain from more lies and betrayal.

It's my first KDrama with Eric as the male lead and I must admit he is quite good in acting and oozing with male sex appeal. He's a full blooded man.

But as I've said I'm more into the flower boy type - the cutie next door like my JGS (missed him).

TracFone: Parent and Child Friendly

This post brought to you by TracFone. All opinions are 100% mine.

Ever wonder how kids can be so active nowadays? They seem to be on one activity to the next without being tired. I guess that can be possible with the aid of various gadgets like mobile phones, computers and others. With smart phones one can call or text, play games, search the internet, chat and a lot more. They can even do their research homework over the same smart phone.

So basically, the use of mobile phones is not just for adults now. Even kids, as early as primary school age needs it. One is to communicate with their parents, school mates and teachers. Second is to do research homework and the like. Third is for gaming and other recreational things. Of course the use should be guided by the parents and a schedule or plan should be enforced.

Now with TracFone, parents can let their kids subscribe to their various plans. According to real TracFone customers it offers the least expensive way to own and use mobile phones in America. With so many features such as a year of service or plan for only $119 or monthly plan of 50 minutes for $9.99, real TracFone customers can lower their combined family telephone bills. You also have options to buy reconditioned or a smart phone with no surprise contracts, bills or credit card checks. No wonder real TracFone customers are increasing by the day.

Monday to Sunday Drama Sched

I was looking for another drama to watch together with KDramas Protect the Boss, Scent of a Woman and Myung Wol the Spy. These are all currently running dramas so there are gaps in between the actual airings and release of English subbed parts.

Mon & Tues – Myung Wol the Spy
Wed & Thurs – Protect the Boss
Sat & Sun – Scent of a Woman

And I found the JDrama adaptation of You’re Beautiful (Park Shin Hye and Jang Geun Seok) called Ikemen desu ne.

While watching the first ep, I can’t help but to compare and I know I shouldn’t since they are the same.

That’s why it is called adaptation girl!

Okay, my bad.

So no comparison from now on. The three original A.N.Jell members are Ren, Shu and Yuki, and the cause of all these confusion is Mio the brother of Miko. I am guessing their ages are 16-18 because they all look young, but when I checked their ages are 20-24, still young to my standards.

Fri – Ikemen desu ne

So that fills the schedule.

Music Monday, OST Pick: DTLY Opening Song

I love the tempo of this song, though I really don't know the title but it was sung by Magic Power or is it the title of the song? If you know, pls correct me.

Currently Watching: Scent of a Woman

Currently watching and crying.

Huhu, saddest kissing scene ever!

I was hesitant to watch this one, knowing the story will evolve with a six month death sentence. But I adore Kim Sun Ah and curious about Lee Dong Wok.

And indeed starting with ep 1, my tears were not stopping.

I find LDW's acting quite robotic. I don't know if it's what the script requires or his acting style, guess I have to re-watch My Girl. But KSA really delivers, I cry every time she cries. I feel her pain particularly on ep 9 where she told her best friend that she has cancer and is dying. Huhu major crying scene.

I am now waiting for ep11, with Kang Ji Wook learning Lee Yeon Jae's condition.

Oh I also like Dr. Chae Eun Suk's strict-but-softy-on-the-inside character.

Currently Watching: Protect The Boss

Underdogs unite!

Looking at the premise of a loser boss and loser secretary tandem, one can’t help to be hopeful that in the end the two losers will shine.

I think that’s the catch of this KDrama, Protect the Boss.

I can’t understand why I am watching it when it’s not that funny, nor there was an OTP spark. It was plain entertaining but nothing special. I just want to see these two underdogs succeed. So I expect to watch it till the end.

Weekend Drama List

My weekend KDrama/ TwDrama list:

Myung Wol the Spy - ep11

Protect the Boss - ep1 to 5

Scent of a Woman - ep1 to 4

With two dramas ending this week (DTLY and YFFM), I started two new KDramas, Protect the Boss and Scent of a Woman. Myung Wol the Spy has 7 eps to go (if they go with 18eps).

I am also looking for one more to add to my 'currently watching drama list', maybe a TwDrama. Any suggestions?

You've Fallen For Me Final Ep

Whoa! Another finale ep this week. And a kiss to seal it!

There were some points in ep 14 and 15 that I find absurd like when Lee Shin broke up with Gyu Won, the reason so that the latter would take the opportunity to sing and study abroad. And the girl didn't suspect a thing about the boy's condition, blah blah blah. But then I remember this is a youth oriented KDrama and I forgave them. At their age, it's a given to be silly. At least they reminded me of my first love and all the giddiness included.

I like the mini concert ending but can't find the link so I'll share it later.

Ending for DTLY

Finally after 18 weeks = 18 eps, a fitting ending to Lin Xiao Ru (Raine Yang) and Song Jie Xu (Joseph Chang). We followed their complicated exes and their drunkeness, even being a drunkard during the process.

Look at their cute groom and bridal car!

Sticky Note: Myung Wol is Back

I told you, Myung Wol is CRAZY.

Now, Han Ye Seul is returning back to Korea to film the remaining eps of Myung Wol the Spy. I am happy for the drama and for HYS herself. If she indeed was harassed or provoked to do what she did, going MIA would only cast doubts. It might be the end of her career, but at least she has finished her pending commitments and if she wants to stay, I think she still can. Media is an awfully powerful tool, you can make it work for you or against you. Whatever is the case, let’s just wait.

Speaking of which ep11 is out and I can’t wait to see ep12 where HYS returns.

Sticky Note: Han Ye Seul goes MIA

Oh my! Just when I was getting the hang of Myung Wol’s craziness, a more shocking news came. Han Ye Seul playing Myung Wol, ditched her role and went to LA.

Sad. For HYS, Eric and the rest of the production team. HYS claims she is overworked while the crew claims she is a primadonna. I just hope everything is settled smoothly, not that it is possible for the time being as HYS faces multiple law suits from KBS (the network), her own agency and other companies she represent. She did something unacceptable, I agree but maybe she has deeper reasons that we might or not know and understand.

For now, I just want a good ending to the drama.

Currently Watching: Myung Wol the Spy

Crazy. This is the best word befitting KDrama: Myung Wol the Spy. The script is crazy, the actors are crazy and I for watching is also crazy.

I was really baffled that they would make a comedy about North Korean spy, I was pretty sure the South and the North are not in good terms. So for the drama to depict the North Koreans spy as comedic is quite unnerving. Am I being pathetic? Thinking it would damage the already damaged relationship.

About the actors, I was really curious about Eric. I admit he has this male charisma, but I guess I don’t dig him. I still prefer the boy-next-door type like Jang Geun Seok and Jung Il Woo.

I am at ep 6 already and I intend to watch till the end because it was funny and my curiosity (about the N-S thing). It also serves as my buffer while waiting for new eps of You’ve Fallen For Me and TwDrama: Drunken To Love You.

Happy Bday My JGS

My Jang Geun Seok oppa celebrated his 24th bday last Aug 4.

Saengil chukha hamnida! Saranghae!

He celebrated it on the set of You’re My Pet, a KMovie with Kim Han eul to be released by September. Can’t wait! I already promised my first KMovie will be this one.

And by September also, he will start shooting his next KDrama: Love Rides the Rain with tentative telecast early next year. Excited much! But can I wait that long? Well, I can always have a YAB rerun.

Diehard City Hunter

I'm really not into these action dramas/ movies or anything that involves fighting. I guess I'm more of a lover and not a fighter.

I don't gross out from blood but I hate seeing someone in pain or beaten to death. How many more lives are we gonna lose after Mr. Prosecutor?

I'm down with the last ep of City Hunter, but to coward to finish it. Who else will die? Kim Nana? Ajusshi? The President or City Hunter himself?

KDrama: Protect The Boss

Looks promising!

But I still have backlogs and don't know when I can fit it into my sched.

  • Title: 보스를 지켜라 / Boseureul Jikyeora
  • Previously known as: 보스가 달라졌어요 The Boss Has Changed / 마지막 여비서 The Last Secretary
  • Genre: Romance, comedy
  • Episodes: 16
  • Broadcast network: SBS
  • Broadcast period: 2011-Aug-03 to TBA
  • Air time: Wednesday & Thursday 21:55

No Eun Seol finally gets a job as a secretary at a law firm after struggling with unemployment, only to fall in love with her boss, Cha Ji Heon, the immature youngest son of a chaebol family.

Pls return my heart

This is my entry to Techie She Lucky Blogger Weekly Giveaways Week 10. This week’s prize is $10 Cash via Paypal from Mel Cole of Hearts Content of a Mama.
Techie She: Blogging Made Easy
Right now, my heart is totally snatched by Lee Shin in You’ve Fallen For Me or also known as Heartstrings. Eps 10 and 11 shows his love and concern for Gyu Won. I get giddy inside like a teenager reminiscing the first date, first holding hands and first kiss!

This is my first time joining Techie She’s Weekly Giveaway, though I am never really that lucky in contests, but we’ll never know.

Friday, August 5, 2011

I am only halfway through it but I have to share this or else I would burst. Ep 10 is also 10 in the kilig rating! I feel like a teenager once again.

Omo! Omo!

Thanks to Kimchidrama for uploading! I better finish the rest of the episode.

Currently Watching: City Hunter

I know Lee Min Ho is one hot property and the reviews on this KDrama is enticing but why oh why can't I finish the first ep?

I tried to watch it twice already and now the third but still I can't overcome the first ep syndrome. But I can't miss it either and jump on the next ep since the historical thing is important. No wonder I don't like History classes, so boring.

But I will finish this ep, I will, because I know later on I'll be lovin' City Hunter.

Straight Talk with the Drama Queen

This post brought to you by Straight Talk. All opinions are 100% mine.

Watching all these Korean Drama makes me want to call a friend to share the latest development and such. A shared joy is doubled or even tripled and a sorrow divided but the long distance phone bill usually is my major hindrance.

Luckily Straight Talk has this everything you need promo which with only $45 per month you get to have unlimited calls, texts, picture messaging and web. This hook, line and sinker deal is guaranteed to cut down your cell phone bill in half. There are no contracts, no surprise bills and no credit checks. This is truly an amazing offer.

Another interesting thing with Straight Talk is they offer reconditioned phones for as low as $10 with all features such as camera, mp3 player, mobile web access and blue tooth capability.  This is good for the budget and mom knows best. But if you like a smart phone, they too have some hook, line and sinker deal with voice navigation, instant messaging, high resolution camera and the like.

With Straight Talk I can call my family and friends anytime anywhere and will not be bothered with the humongous phone bill. A fixed monthly phone bill of $45 really does the trick.
